Eddie Lee

Eddie Lee has cultivated extensive experience across multiple practice areas in both civil and criminal law. In civil litigation, he has handled numerous complex cases including real property disputes, commercial and contractual matters, trust issues, email fraud cases, and adverse possession cases, representing either plaintiffs or defendants in various cases.

His criminal defence practice encompasses serious cases, including drug trafficking, fraud, money laundering, misconduct in public office, and serious traffic offences. In the corporate sphere, he focuses on commercial transactions, with particular emphasis on mergers and acquisitions involving regulated financial institutions. His profound knowledge extends to establishing Hong Kong and offshore private funds, including open-ended fund companies and Hong Kong limited partnership funds, and providing strategic advice on shareholders’ disputes and corporate insolvency matters.

Eddie also maintains a comprehensive general practice, handling matters in family law, probate, bankruptcy, defamation, employment law, landlord and tenant dispute, mental health proceedings, and personal injury cases. His broad experience allows him to provide holistic legal solutions tailored to his clients’ diverse needs.

Kent Li

Kent Li is a partner at Messrs. Eddie Lee & Company, where he practices in several key areas, including conveyancing, civil litigation, probate matters, and matrimonial proceedings.
In conveyancing, he handles complex property transactions including dealing with requisitions, agreement amendments, and various legal documents such as Deeds of Rectification, Variation, and corporate resolutions. His civil litigation practice encompasses managing approximately 50 active cases, guiding them from initial consultation through trial proceedings.
Kent’s probate practice involves handling both testate and intestate cases, drafting various types of wills including mutual and Chinese wills, and managing property transfers. He also maintains an active matrimonial practice, handling divorce proceedings, injunction applications, and ancillary relief matters.

John Mak

John Mak is an experienced solicitor based in Hong Kong with a distinguished legal career. He began his legal journey at the prestigious firm Johnson Stokes & Master and currently serves as a consultant solicitor at Messrs. Eddie Lee & Company.

He specializes in civil litigation and property transactions, with practice in general commercial matters, probate and conveyancing, real property issues, and transactions involving company shares. John is dedicated to providing tailored legal solutions for his clients and achieving optimal outcomes.

Liat Go

Miss Go has been a partner of various firms from June 1995 to July 2008 for general practice including conveyancing works, matrimonial matters, probate and will, landlord and tenant and civil litigation. She has ample experience in conveyancing gained and demonstrated from her supervisory role in conveyancing section or department of the various firms. She joined Messrs. Eddie Lee & Company as a Consultant from August 2008 to May 2019. She joined Messrs. Ellen Au & Co., as a Consultant to supervise the conveyancing works of the Firm and handled files in other areas such as matrimonial, probate, civil and criminal litigation. She has re-joined Messrs. Eddie Lee & Company as a Consultant since February 2022.

Miss Go’s specialties are conveyancing, matrimonial and civil litigation matters, although she is also experienced in other branches of law such as probate, tenancy and criminal litigation works.

Miss Go is also an Associate of The Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, a civil celebrant of marriages and reverse mortgage counsellor.

Jacky Cha

Jacky Cha is a multifaceted legal professional who currently serves as a Senior Consultant at Eddie Lee and Company. His expertise spans corporate law, finance, mediation, and trust management. He brings significant experience as a former law firm partner and currently serves as a senior consultant in Eddie lee and Company and an Independent Non-Executive Director of Grand Brilliance Group Holdings Limited (Stock Code: 2534), having previously held similar positions at Vision International Holdings Limited and BN International Energy Limited.


In addition to his legal practice, he contributes to the field of legal education as a part-time lecturer at HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education, teaching Hong Kong Company Law. He also serves as the Honorary Legal and Compliance Advisor for YSEPAY (Hong Kong) Limited and has provided legal expertise to cross-border financial service providers including XTRANSFER and KSHER.

In the realm of criminal defence, he has managed various criminal cases, encompassing drug-related offences, sexual offences, offences against the person, money laundering, fraud, and immigration offences.

Jason Koo

Jason has established a comprehensive legal practice encompassing both contentious and non-contentious matters. His civil litigation experience includes handling trust claims, contractual disputes, jurisdictional matters, commercial disputes, debt recovery, insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings, property repossession, tenancy disputes, divorce matters and applications for interlocutory injunctions.

In the field of criminal law and regulatory compliance, he has handled white-collar crime litigation and regulatory investigations, including the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC), the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), and the Commercial Crime Bureau (CCB).

His non-contentious practice involves conveyancing, including compulsory sale with developers and Urban Renewal Authority, sale and purchase transactions, regulatory advisory work particularly for Money Service Operators (MSO) and SFC licensed entities, as well as probate matters.
